Automotive Lube Technician

Your next opportunity awaits! Toyota Santa Monica is seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Express Service Technician to join our team. We’re open to candidates who are new to the automotive industry, with 6 months of Express/Lube Technician experience preferred. Experience with dealerships, AutoZone, Jiffy Lube, Pep Boys, or independent automotive shops is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Express Service Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of our service department.  

• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations and filter replacements.


• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunction of vehicles and perform repairs.


• Accurately document record of all repairs, services and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.


• Collaborate with service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.


• Perform maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of prior experience as an Automotive Express/Lube Technician. 


• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.


• Manufacturer certification is desired, and a degree or certificate from a trade school is preferred.

Compensation:

• The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $18.47 - $20.00.
