Automotive Parts Counterperson

Capital Automotive Group is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Parts Counterperson to join our team.

This role is at the heart of the dealership’s day-to-day operation. You’ll work closely with technicians, service advisors, customers, and fellow teammates to make sure the right parts get to the right place — accurately, efficiently, and with great service along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  Assist technicians, service advisors, wholesale customers, and retail customers with parts needs

  
  


• 
  

  Look up and identify the correct parts using dealership systems and catalogs

  
  


• 
  

  Provide accurate pricing, availability, and estimated delivery information

  
  


• 
  

  Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and special orders

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain organized and accurate parts inventory

  
  


• 
  

  Receive, stock, and properly label incoming parts as needed

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate clearly with customers and teammates regarding order status and availability

  
  


• 
  

  Build strong relationships with internal departments and outside customers

  
  


• 
  

  Help keep the Parts Department organized, efficient, and moving throughout the day

  
  


• 
  

  Support the Parts Manager and team wherever needed

  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• 
  

  Previous automotive parts experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Dealership experience is a plus

  
  


• 
  

  Strong customer service and communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities

  
  


• 
  

  Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy

  
  


• 
  

  Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership systems

  
  


• 
  

  Dependable, organized, and ready to be part of a team

  
  


• 
  

  A positive attitude and willingness to jump in and help

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
