Automotive Parts Manager

Fox Grand Traverse is seeking an experienced, growth-minded Automotive Parts Manager to join our leadership team in beautiful Traverse City, MI!

In this role, you will lead a dedicated team to drive profitability and growth while upholding our core vision: "Working together moving people throughout life." You will oversee inventory management, customer service excellence, team development, and vendor relationships within a supportive, tech-driven dealership culture.

Key Responsibilities

  Department Leadership: Hire, train, mentor, and motivate Parts Department staff to meet high performance standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Inventory & Financial Management: Maintain balanced inventory levels for service, wholesale, and retail channels to maximize turnover and minimize obsolescence.

  
  


• 
  

  Profitability & Pricing: Establish competitive pricing structures across customer categories to ensure gross profit goals while retaining customer loyalty.

  
  


• 
  

  Operations & Compliance: Monitor returns/tagging for factory credits, enforce special-order policies, and oversee proper account settlement prior to vendor payment.

  
  


• 
  

  Customer Focus: Handle customer feedback promptly and maintain strong relationships with retail and commercial accounts.

  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 
  

  2–4 years of parts management experience (dealership experience highly preferred).

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and growing talent.

  
  


• 
  

  Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to leverage digital tools to elevate customer experience.
