Automotive Sales Assistant

Great Lakes Hyundai of Dublin is a dynamic and customer-focused automotive dealership committed to providing exceptional service to our customers.  We’re looking for an energetic, organized, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team and play an important role in driving sales growth and creating an exceptional customer experience.

This is a high-impact support role for someone who enjoys communicating with people, staying organized, following up, and helping turn opportunities into sales. The right person will work closely with our sales team to ensure prospects are contacted consistently, customers receive outstanding service, and our inventory stays organized and accurate.

Key Responsibilities

• Make daily phone calls, emails, and text messages to prospects and customers.
• Follow up consistently with leads, opportunities, previous customers, and pending sales.
• Assist the sales team with prospecting and lead generation activities.
• Help create a positive and professional customer delivery experience.
• Follow up with customers after delivery to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Monitor and review CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) results and help identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Maintain regular communication with our existing customer base to strengthen relationships and uncover future sales opportunities.
• Assist with inventory control, including tracking inventory, updating information, and helping ensure vehicles/products are properly accounted for.
• Keep accurate records of customer interactions, follow-ups, and sales opportunities.
• Help the sales team stay organized and focused on closing opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer retention, referrals, and overall sales performance.
• Take initiative and contribute ideas that can help the team increase sales and grow the business.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills — both verbal and written.
• Friendly, professional, and confident personality.
• Comfortable making a high volume of phone calls and following up with prospects.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Customer-service mindset with a genuine desire to help people.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to take initiative.
• Comfortable using computers, email, texting, and CRM or inventory systems.
• Sales, customer service, automotive, retail, or dealership experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
