Job Description - Automotive Sales Consultant



Job Title: Automotive Sales Consultant
Company: Chapman Payson Auto Center
Location: 100 N Beeline Hwy, Payson, AZ 85541
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm | Alternating Saturdays 8am-5pm
Pay: Commission | Uncapped earning potential

Chapman Payson Auto Center in Payson, AZ is seeking Automotive Sales Consultants to support customers through every step of the buying process—from first contact to vehicle delivery—while delivering a smooth, professional, and customer-focused experience. This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to grow a long-term career in automotive sales with strong earning potential.


Responsibilities



  • Respond to phone, internet, and chat leads to schedule appointments

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and follow up with prospects

  • Build rapport and match customers with the right vehicle

  • Present vehicles and coordinate test drives

  • Stay current on inventory and product knowledge

  • Assist with sales and financing paperwork

  • Deliver vehicles and ensure a positive customer handoff

  • Maintain consistent communication throughout the sales process

  • Meet or exceed sales goals

  • Support additional sales and administrative tasks as needed


Qualifications



  • Automotive sales experience preferred

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to build relationships and handle objections

  • Self-motivated and goal-driven mindset

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic CRM and technology proficiency

  • Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Must pass background check and drug screening
