Automotive Service Porter and Shop Cleaner

A service porter and shop cleaner maintains automotive dealership lots, service bays, and repair facilities by moving vehicles and performing daily janitorial duties.

Core Responsibilities

• Vehicle Management: Move customer and inventory cars between the service drive, parking lot, repair stalls, and wash bays.


• Vehicle Detailing: Perform pre-washes, post-repair courtesy cleanings, vacuuming, and exterior washes on cars.


• Facility Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and clear debris from shop floors, service aisles, and customer waiting areas.


• Safety & Upkeep: Empty trash daily, clean fluid areas or oil pits, supply technicians with clean mops or materials, and restock supplies.


• Errands: Run local parts or supply errands for mechanics and service advisors when needed.

Job Qualifications & Expectations

• Requirements: A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a high school diploma or GED are required.


• Physical Demands: High physical stamina for standing, walking, and working outdoors or in active shop environments across varying weather.
