Job Description - Automotive Service Technician



Jerry's Auto Group has been in business since 1973. Our Service Department continues to grow rapidly, and we currently have a position available for a Certified Service Technician. The primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair customer vehicles. Our priority is to provide high customer satisfaction by accurately diagnosing and fixing it right the first time.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and following dealership processes
  • Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
  • Provide estimates of the time required for other repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of experience as a certified auto technician
  • Ford certification is a plus
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Fast, eager learner and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Clean driving record & valid driver's license
