Automotive Technician

Guy's Foreign & Domestic Auto Repair has been helping customers keep their vehicles running in the Greater New Orleans Area for over 35 years. We provide quality care care for every type of vehicle. We keep our customers on the road through preventative maintenance and timely repairs when needed. Guy's is dedicated to keeping up with the ever changing automotive industry, which allows us to continue servicing our customer's vehicles now and in the future.

• Responsible for vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Shows the ability to diagnose and repair multiple automotive systems, including but not limited to brakes, A/C, steering, and suspension.
• Works with our Service Advisers to relay repair information in order to keep our customers informed of any additional services needed.
• Attend industry training to stay current in the ever-evolving world of auto repair.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous on-job experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• ASE Certifications a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Learns quickly.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Team player.
• Ensures that customer’s cars are kept clean.
• Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner.
• Ability to identify problems quickly.
• Knowledge of automobiles.
• Math, reading, and computer skills.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
