Automotive Used Cars Technician

CAPITAL is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Used Cars Technician to join our automotive service team. The Used Cars Technician will play a crucial role in inspecting, diagnosing, and performing maintenance and repairs on pre-owned vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to ensure the reliability and performance of used vehicles.

Automotive Used Cars Technician Responsibilities:   

• Conduct thorough inspections of used vehicles to assess overall condition


• Identify and document any mechanical, electrical, or safety issues


• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues


• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on engine, transmission, brakes, and other vehicle systems


• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections


• Perform quality control checks to ensure that repairs meet or exceed industry standards


• Other duties assigned   

Automotive Used Cars Technician Requirements:   

• Technical or vocational training in automotive technology is preferred


• Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on used vehicle maintenance and repairs


• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are highly desirable


• In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems


• Flexibility to handle a variety of vehicle models


• Willingness to share knowledge and mentor junior technicians


• Adherence to safety regulations and guidelines


• Must pass pre-employment background screenings
