Job Description - Auxiliary Programs Manager of Transportation and Services

SUMMARY


The Auxiliary Program Manager of Transportation and Services at Congressional School supports the day-to-day operations of the transportation system and logistics, including logistics of after-school care, enrichment activities, seasonal camps, and transportation. This role assists the Auxiliary Program Director in delivering high-quality programs while maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging environment for students. This role requires hands-on collaboration with a diverse group of administrators and staff to support a campus-wide approach. This is a full-time, 12-month position.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEHP (Extended Hours Program)/ASA (After School Activities)/Childcare Days Program Support:



  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and execution of after-school programs, camps, and other auxiliary activities through all logistics.

  • Prepare materials, set up activities, and ensure all necessary supplies are readily available.


School Store Logistics



  • Oversee the school store POS and associated software

  • Track and assist remotely with the maintain physical inventory


Camp Tasks



  • Manage and oversee programs at the camp's satellite campus

  • Manage and oversee the summer camp transportation director and their duties

  • Assist the Camp Director with building and maintaining the camp database


Transportation Logistics



  • Manage all school transportation operations, including coordinating bus routes, schedules, and transitions between after-school activities.

  • Communicate with families regarding transportation plans, delays, or changes.

  • Ensure that all transportation protocols are followed to maintain student safety.


Safety and Compliance



  • Monitor students during all activities to ensure their safety and well-being.

  • Follow and enforce all safety protocols and emergency procedures (as they are relevant to Transportation.)


Performs other duties as reasonably assigned, consistent with the responsibilities of the Auxiliary Program Manager, Transportation & Services."

QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience: Previous experience in marketing, communications, education, camp administration, recreational management, or related fields is preferred.

  • Program Management: Demonstrated ability to create, administer, supervise, and implement programs for students and campers.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, database systems, social media, and other technology tools.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong initiative, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
