AV (Audio Visual) Design Engineer

We are looking for an experience Design Engineer to join our team!

JOB DESCRIPTION 

• Responsible for design, design/build and RFP/RFQ proposals to include: 

• Detailed  scope of work 

• Detailed equipment bill of materials 

• Labor estimates 

• Material estimates 

• Attend client meetings when necessary to identify technology requirements 

• Attend site surveys when needed to obtain design space details. 

• Review architectural/electrical and mechanical documentation 

• Coordinate technology system design documentation with internal project team 

• Specification and coordination of conduit and electrical requirements 

• Prepare equipment specification submittals when required. 

• Review architectural and MEP documentation for mark up and provide coordination. 

• Attend project site surveys and meetings as necessary. 

• Establish and maintain positive and effective line of communication with clients and sales team 

REQUIREMENTS 

• 5+ Year's Experience in a similar AV position  

• Ability to think and work independently & meet necessary deadlines. 

• Strong attention to detail 

• Strong MS Excel skills 

• Must be able to multi-task and manage several projects at one time 

• Must have a good understanding of building codes 

• Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists 

• Ability to mentor others, exceed customer's expectations and a solid work ethic 

• Industry Certifications such as CTS-D, DMC-E, EAVA, CVE, ACE a plus 

• Must have a good understanding of building electrical and ADA codes
