Back Office

Primarily responsible for supporting the store manager in a variety of merchandising and customer service tasks. May include preparing daily deposits for bank run, handling cash and other sensitive information. 

Essential Functions/Duties:

• Review, create and/or modify product SKU information as needed.
• Make price changes to existing merchandise based on mark-downs or other price related adjustment activities.
• Design, create and install in-store signs and flyers for all merchandise.
• Investigate inventory counts in the store and adjust computer data as needed. 
• Generate the price override report, review reasons for the overrides; communicate any discrepancies to the manager. 
• Review merchandise that has misplaced price or SKU tags; correct when necessary. 
• Assist in training new cashiers. 
• Assist with inventory pre-counting and in mapping out pre-count areas for inventory. 
• Track and manage the merchandise used for in-store purposes (trash bags, light bulbs, etc.). 
• Check SKU’s as necessary for yard and sales floor. Giving price and quantity, by SKU, UPC or description. 
• Maintain office supply room including ordering office supplies when needed. 
• Cashier as necessary. 
• Answer phones, direct phone traffic and take messages as necessary. 
• Counting the money in each till and doing a daily deposit, ordering change from the bank. 
• Reconciling credit cards, gift cards, filing. 
• Entering all sales information and completing the daily audit.
• Other duties as assigned by store management.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have at least 2 years experience and a proven work history in retail support environment. Must have ability to multi-task, strong computer skills, ability to answer and direct phone traffic, good organizational skills, use of standard office equipment (copy, fax, etc…), good customer service skills, and be able to handle time sensitive tasks. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. 

Required Skills/Experience: High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
