Backup Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backup Administrator to join our dynamic team. The Backup Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' data through the implementation and management of backup systems and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and monitor backup solutions to ensure the consistent and reliable backup of critical data.
- Perform regular backups of systems, databases, and applications according to established schedules.
- Evaluate and recommend backup solutions that align with industry best practices and meet the specific needs of the organization.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to minimize data loss in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Conduct regular tests and audits of backup systems to verify data integrity and availability.
- Work closely with IT teams to troubleshoot backup-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define backup requirements and implement appropriate strategies to meet business objectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in backup and recovery to continuously improve backup operations.


Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Backup Administrator or a similar role in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery concepts, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience with backup software such as Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of storage technologies, data deduplication, and encryption techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
