Backup Administrator

Anarust Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Backup Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backup and recovery solutions for our critical systems and data.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery solutions for servers, workstations, databases, and other critical systems.
• Perform regular backups and recovery tests to ensure data integrity and recoverability.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot issues, and resolve any errors.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all backup and recovery procedures.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of backup systems.
• Stay current with the latest backup and recovery technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure the security and availability of IT systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to backup and recovery systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Backup Administrator or in a related IT role.
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery technologies, including disk-to-disk, tape, cloud-based backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with backup and recovery software.
• Experience with scripting languages).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
