Zingerman's Bakehouse is hiring a Retail Sales team member to work on our team selling hand crafted, artisan, bread, pastries, and more!

What does the job pay?

Minimum starting pay of $16 per hour, wage negotiable based on experience. In addition to hourly wage, retail sales people will also receive customer tips, which are currently averaging above $3.50-4 per hour. 

Who are we?

Zingerman's Bakehouse is a wholesale bakery, retail shop, and baking school for home bakers. We sell to specialty food stores, cafés and restaurants in southeastern Michigan as well as selling to Zingerman's Mail Order, who ships our baked goods everywhere in the United States. We are dedicated bakers and food lovers committed to making and selling the best breads, pastries and cakes we can imagine. We are real artisan bakers, meaning we use traditional methods and flavorful ingredients to make our food.

Where is the job?

Zingerman’s Bakehouse is located at 3711 Plaza Drive. 

What are the availability requirements? 

Shifts up to 8 hours, between 5 am and 4 pm

Full-time, 32-40 hours

Availability to work at least 1 weekend day (Saturday and/or Sunday)

Full availability during November and December (we don’t take extra time off during this time)

What are the physical requirements of the job? 

We require the ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8-hours, with breaks; the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and the ability to work with repetitive motion including fine manipulation of hands and fingers.
