Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Location: Washington, DC. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity offering direct collaboration with an experienced bankruptcy and restructuring team.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice law in both Washington, DC and Virginia and have 2+ years of relevant financial restructuring, bankruptcy, and commercial transactions experience, or have completed a bankruptcy court clerkship.

Job Description

• Advise clients on bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and related commercial matters.
• Work on sophisticated matters involving financially distressed businesses, creditors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with restructuring strategies and bankruptcy proceedings.
• Handle commercial transactions arising in restructuring and insolvency matters.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare high-quality written work.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys on complex financial and business matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active Washington, DC Bar admission required.
• Active Virginia Bar admission required.
• 2+ years of financial restructuring, bankruptcy, and commercial transactions experience, or bankruptcy court clerkship experience.
• Excellent research and legal writing skills.
• Outstanding academic record.
• Maryland Bar admission is a plus.

• 1 to 2 years: $140K to $148K

• 3 to 4 years: $149K to $160K
