Job Description - Banquet Server

Silver Creek Valley Country Club, located in San Jose, CA is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Banquet Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Range:

$18.45 - $30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare function site and assure meeting room is set according to specifications

Serve food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines

Set dining tables, buffets, and other service areas according to Banquet Event Order or as directed

Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager

Help to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment

Assist in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area

Ensure guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise

Incorporate safe work practices in job performance

Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months of banquet setting and service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must be at least 18 years of age to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol

Other Qualifications:

Demonstrates good energy and motivation

Knowledge of banquet set up

Regular and reliable attendance
