Banquet Setup Attendant - Year Round

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To ensure all event spaces are set up and broken down accurately and efficiently according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and exceptional service standards. This role plays a key part in creating a seamless and professional experience for guests and clients. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Event Setup & Teardown 

• Set up and tear down meeting and event rooms, including furniture, staging, and equipment, per BEO specifications. 

• Properly care for, move, and store equipment such as tables, risers, dance floors, lecterns, and room supplies. 

• Straighten chairs, change soiled table linens, empty trash cans, and restock materials as needed. 

Cleanliness & Maintenance 

• Periodically clean meeting and event rooms before and after events, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, and wiping surfaces. 

• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations. 

• Follow all resort policies and procedures. 

Guest Service & Team Collaboration 

• Provide excellent customer service to clients during functions as needed. 

• Collaborate with banquet servers, bartenders, captains, managers, and other resort staff to ensure smooth event execution. 

• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. 

Availability & Flexibility 

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays. 

• Adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. 

• Friendly, customer-oriented attitude with excellent people skills. 

• Responsible, trustworthy, and dependable. 

• Patience and professionalism in guest-facing situations. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on various surfaces. 

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance. 

• Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and overhead movement. 

• Occasional pushing and pulling of carts or equipment. 

• Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels. 

PAY RATE: 

• $21/hr
