ABOUT THE ROLE
We are searching for a Bar Manager for a Forbes luxury hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a senior F&B leadership role for a passionate hospitality professional with deep expertise in wine, spirits, and bar operations. The right candidate brings strong leadership skills, an eye for detail, and a genuine commitment to delivering an attentive and distinctive guest experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead, train, coach, and develop the bar team, including supervisors and assistant managers, ensuring service and cultural standards are consistently met

Maintain a visible, guest-facing presence on the floor, building relationships with regular guests and handling complaints, concerns, and special requests with professionalism

Bring expert knowledge of wine and spirits to the operation, ensuring quality across all beverage items and preparation methods

Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal laws relating to alcohol service and consumption

Collaborate with the Director of F&B and culinary team on menu and wine list development

Control labour and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management

Monitor the physical condition of the outlet and equipment, making recommendations for improvements as needed

Attend operational meetings to ensure strong coordination and communication across departments

WHAT YOU BRING

1 to 2 years of experience as a department head, or 2 to 3 years as an assistant manager in a luxury hotel F&B; environment

Strong knowledge of beverage service, wine, spirits, cost control, labour management, and bar operations

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a high-standards luxury environment

Experience with F&B, computer systems, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

College degree in hospitality, restaurant management, or equivalent experience preferred

Valid US work authorization required - visa sponsorship is not available

USD $92,000 - $96,000 per year
