JOB SUMMARY

The Bar Porter is responsible for supporting bar operations by maintaining clean, organized, and fully stocked bar areas and beverage service stations. This position ensures bartenders have the products, supplies, and equipment necessary to deliver efficient and exceptional guest service. The Bar Porter receives, transports, and replenishes inventory, maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards, and promotes a safe environment for guests and team members. Through a commitment to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and outstanding customer service, the Bar Porter contributes to a positive and entertaining guest experience while supporting the overall success of the Food & Beverage operation.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Six months of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alcohol safety certification is required (The department will offer training. Must be certified within thirty days of the hire date)

 

 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

 

  • Strong guest service, interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills; able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, work collaboratively with others, remain adaptable, eager to learn, and receptive to coaching and direction.

  • Professional appearance with high personal hygiene standards; detail-oriented with a strong work ethic, commitment to quality, and desire for continued growth; basic proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Excel, preferred.

  • Ability to remain mobile throughout the property, stand for extended periods (8–10 hours), perform frequent physical movements including bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying; able to lift up to 50 pounds, maneuver a 165-pound keg, manually push up to 300 pounds, and respond to visual and auditory cues.

  • Effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environments; able to make sound decisions, work through mentally and physically demanding situations, follow instructions accurately, and communicate clearly and professionally in English.

  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including fluctuating noise levels, temperatures, lighting, vibration, crowds, and air quality (including secondhand smoke); flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other operationally required schedules.
