Barback

We are looking for a Barback who lives for the "rush." In our casual fine-dining environment, our bar is fast, loud, and high-standard. You are the person who ensures the bartenders never have to leave the well. This is a role for someone with grit who wants to eventually become a bartender by proving they can master the fundamentals of a high-volume bar.

• Grit: You’ll be changing 160lb kegs, hauling 40lb buckets of ice, and staying on your feet for 8 hours. You don't slow down when the bar gets slammed; you speed up.
• Integrity: You treat the inventory like it's your own. You’re honest with counts, careful with glassware, and you do the deep-cleaning (mats, drains, speed rails) because you know it matters.
• Hospitality: You support the bartenders so they can support the guests. You anticipate a "low bottle" before it’s empty and a "full trash" before it overflows.

What You’ll Do

• Restock & Replenish: Maintain par levels for all spirits, beers, wines, and mixers.
• The "Marge" Prep: Ensure a constant supply of fresh-squeezed lime juice, agave, and salts (essential for our Tex-Mex program).
• Ice & Glass: Keep ice bins topped off and ensure a steady stream of polished, spot-free glassware.
• Keg Management: Safely swap out kegs mid-rush and troubleshoot tap issues.
• Maintenance: Keep the bar top clear of "dead" glasses, wipe spills instantly, and manage the "burn" of the ice at the end of the night.

What You Bring

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced, cramped environment.
• Urgency: You move with a purpose. "Invisible but omnipresent" is your goal.
• Certifications: Valid TABC and Food Handler certifications.
• Ambition: We love barbacks who want to learn recipes and eventually move into a Bartender role.
