Barber Opportunity – Help Us Build Something Different at MRT

MRT is getting ready to open the next piece of our Port Charlotte expansion: a barbershop inside our garden center, hardware store, and café.

Yes, you read that right.

Over the last two years, we’ve been working to create a completely different kind of retail experience at our Port Charlotte location, combining the things our customers already know MRT for with new concepts like the Greenhouse Café. Now, we’re ready to finish out the vision with a barbershop, and we’re looking for talented barbers who want to be part of building something unique.

We are currently exploring opportunities to sublease space to approximately two to four barbers, depending on interest, availability, and demand.

We’re looking for barbers who are:

• Licensed and experienced in their craft
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with the public
• Interested in growing their own clientele and business
• Reliable, motivated, and entrepreneurial
• Excited about helping shape the atmosphere and personality of a brand-new barbershop
• Interested in joining a concept that is anything but a traditional standalone barber shop

This is especially exciting for someone who already has a following, wants an opportunity to grow, or simply likes the idea of doing something a little different.

Our Port Charlotte location brings together a garden center, hardware store, retail shopping, fishing and marine departments, and soon customers will be able to grab a coffee, shop for their home and garden, and get a haircut all in the same place.

We’re still developing the final structure of the barbershop opportunity and want to talk with interested barbers before finalizing the details. No specific compensation, lease terms, schedules, or arrangements are being promised as part of this posting. Our goal right now is to meet talented people, hear what they’re looking for, and determine who may be a good fit for what we’re building.
