Bartender

The Bartender provides fast and accurate beverages and a high level of hospitality for our guests.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Greets all guests in a professional and courteous manner.


• Prepares and serves beverages following established protocol, and all state and federal liquor laws.


• Keeps Community Manager and Supervisor aware of any issues that in a timely manner and assists in resolution.


• Must be efficient in cash handling procedures, and maintain a working knowledge of POS system and its functions including but not limited to credit card and gift card transactions.


• Makes sure that all daily revenue and server tip reports are reconciled and given to accounting at the end of every day.


• Ensures that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.


• Assists Back of House Supervisor to decorate the bar area for theme weekends.


• Supports and follows Cove Communities and Cypress policy at all times.


• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills.


• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.


• TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification or willingness to obtain.


• Must be able to lift fifty pounds on a regular basis and able to withstand long periods of time on your feet.


• Ability to function well in a high pace, sometimes high stress environment.


• Comfortable effectively communicating with all levels of guests and staff.


• Night and weekend work is required.
