Bartow Water and Electric Meter Reader

Immediate position is available for Water and Electric Meter Reading in Bartow, FL. We have been in business since 1967 and read for numerous municipalities and privately owned companies in California, Florida, Texas and Virginia. The available position is to record usage of water and electric meters through an electronic handheld device.

Skills:

• No experience necessary; we will teach you!
• Willingness to learn
• Able to accurately record data on an electronic device

Duties:

• Accurately and in a timely manner record meter readings using a small mobile device.
• Follow all safety and quality control measures.
• Positively interact with our customers
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely. Each reader is either dropped off or drives from one work area to another, entering and exiting the vehicle frequently.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Team Leader.

 Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean background check, DMV report, and drug/alcohol screening
• Lift up to 45 lbs
• Available to work overtime and some Saturdays
• Ability to work on feet for 8 hours or more with repeated bending, crouching outside
• Ability to work safely and record accurate data in a timely manner
