Behavior Intervention Specialist- Lakeland Day Hab

 Completes Functional Behavior Assessments and other various Psychological assessments as needed.
 Creates and implements Behavior Support Plans and Restrictive Behavior Support Plans.
 Assesses and maintains behavioral data.
 Communicates with direct care staff regularly to review behavioral support, provide training, and act as a mentor
to supporting staff.
 Assists with crisis intervention.
 Participates in screening/intake meetings for program and residential vacancies.
 Communicates and documents any events/activities that may hinder the health, safety, and well-being of people
by adhering to Federal and New York State regulations and agency policy and procedures.
 Assists with investigative process for incident management.
 Acts as a member of the Program Planning Team and as needed, attends annual, semi-annual and team
meetings.
