As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting children with behavioral and mental health needs by helping create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct support and supervision to children in a behavioral health setting.


• Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.


• Support the implementation of individualized treatment and behavioral support plans.


• Encourage positive behaviors, coping skills, emotional regulation, and social development.


• Assist children with daily routines, activities, and therapeutic programming.


• Observe, document, and report behavioral changes, progress, and concerns to the appropriate team members.


• Respond to challenging behaviors using approved de-escalation techniques and facility procedures.


• Collaborate with clinical staff and other team members to promote positive outcomes.


• Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies.


• Treat every child with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion.

Previous experience in behavioral health, childcare, residential care, or a related field may be beneficial.
