The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for a First Line Leader, Quality Manager to join the team in Hazelwood, MO. This role is to support for Government Training and Ground Support Equipment, a key member of the BGS-G Quality Program Support and Services Leadership Team.
This leader will promote partnering cross-functionally, enable problem solving and risk mitigation, ensure effective quality management system oversight, promote compliance through partnerships and timely problem resolution.
The ideal candidate has the ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization including key stakeholders Strong demonstration of data driven analytics and proactive solution implementation is desired. The candidate will work collaboratively across a variety of functions and levels within the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on government training and ground support equipment programs, around the world.
Executes quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans
Compliance
Supporting DCMA CAR execution and working together with the DCMA customer
Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility
Partners cross functionally to develop and execute Quality strategies and strategies for the program to identify best practices.
Ensures and drives total quality / first time quality in every phase of successful program execution
Utilizes Lean & proactive quality tools to drive quality improvements across the program in partnership with business & functional leaders
Promotes a culture of quality, compliance, continuous improvement, innovation and replication, with an encompassing emphasis on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery-Schedule, and People Development
Leads by example through the use of Seek, Speak & Listen and roundtables to create an inclusive culture
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)
3+ years of experience supporting or working with manufacturing or engineering teammates or in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
5+ years of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions
Experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA
Strong communication skills & ability to interface cross functionally with stakeholders
Strong leadership skills, managing cross-functional and diverse teams, and the ability to lead through influence
