As a Customer Relations Specialist, you'll be the friendly voice and trusted resource for our patients—helping them understand their accounts, navigate financial assistance, and receive the exceptional service they deserve. Every interaction is an opportunity to make a positive impact.
What You'll Do
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
Be the first point of contact for patient questions by phone, email, chat, and in person.
Assist patients with billing questions, payments, payment plans, insurance explanations, and account updates.
Resolve concerns efficiently while providing compassionate, professional service.
Document interactions accurately and follow up on outstanding accounts.
Maintain high-quality service standards and help create a positive patient experience.
Support Our Digital Communication Channels
Respond to Live Chat, MyChart messages, and email inquiries each day.
Complete demographic updates and correspondence in a timely manner.
Manage electronic documents and assist with additional projects as assigned.
Help Patients Access Financial Assistance
Process Financial Assistance applications quickly and accurately.
Communicate with patients regarding missing documentation and application status.
Prepare reports, appeal information, and charity documentation.
Assist patients by phone, email, and fax throughout the application process.
Provide Pricing & Estimate Support
Assist patients requesting procedure estimates through phone, email, MyChart, and chat.
Explain insurance benefits and estimated costs with accuracy and empathy.
Ensure compliance with state and federal No Surprises Act guidelines.
Track and document estimate requests while collaborating with internal teams.
Serve as an Agency Liaison
Coordinate with collection agencies and legal partners when necessary.
Review accounts and prepare documentation for court proceedings.
Represent the organization as a witness when required.
Build strong relationships with agency vendors to ensure smooth communication.
What You'll Bring
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience, including one or more of the following:
Medical billing
Hospital registration
Physician office operations
Collections
Professional healthcare billing
Medical billing education or training
