Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing and Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to manage our regional utility billing operations. This role is critical to ensuring our revenue is accurately and timely invoiced. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Invoicing: Develop invoicing products to meet clients needs. Ensure all completed work is invoiced accurately and promptly.


• Paperwork Management: Verify the accuracy of required paperwork and provide administrative support to field supervisors.


• Organization: Categorize work orders, employee hours, equipment hours, and other billing-related items.


• Communication: Maintain effective communication with General Foremen, field staff, and departmental supervisors via email, reporting results as necessary.


• Proactive Inquiry: Actively seek information related to billing and communicate clearly and accurately with both office staff and utility partners.


• Invoice Distribution: Issue and distribute invoices.


• Department Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure billing accuracy.


• Vendor Relations: Address vendor questions and assist with customer account reconciliations.


• Reporting: Prepare and present analytical reports.


• Issue Resolution: Resolve any billing issues or mistakes.


• Documentation: Prepare proper documentation for billing support and submit invoices to customers.


• Customer Service: Process and complete all phone and email requests, including inquiries from subcontractors and field personnel.

Qualifications:

• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Strong communication skills to interact with field and office staff.


• Proactive approach to asking questions and resolving billing issues.


• Comfortable working under tight deadlines.

Benefits:
