As a Billing Specialist, you will play an important role in the invoicing process by helping ensure client invoices are prepared accurately, reviewed carefully, and submitted in line with billing expectations. This role is well suited to someone who can work independently, stay organized under pressure, and use sound judgment to resolve issues and keep billing workflows moving efficiently across internal teams.
Responsibilities
Perform final proforma review to process daily and monthly invoices.
Ensure invoices comply with client-specific billing guidelines.
Identify and correct billing discrepancies or missing information before invoices are submitted.
Communicate with project managers, BTK, and operations teams to resolve invoice issues.
Communicate with accounting teams to resolve retainer and unallocated funds issues.
Meet invoicing deadlines, productivity targets, and accuracy goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Education and Certifications
High school diploma or higher preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting or billing experience preferred.
Experience with Elite Accounting Software preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities
Must possess strong verbal and written skills, as well as basic math skills.
Knowledge of basic accounting, bookkeeping, and financial concepts is required.
Must have a general knowledge of accounting software.
Must be able to respond in writing or verbally to common internal client inquiries.
Experience coordinating with project managers, operations teams, accounting teams, and internal clients in billing or invoice-related workflows is required.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Demands, Overtime, and Travel Requirements
Employees are frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, crouch, hear, and talk. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary.
There will be some occasions where overtime (or working after normal business hours) will be required to meet the demands of the position.
