BIM Technician

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed 3D models in Revit and Stratus for piping and mechanical systems
  
  


• Create fabrication and installation drawings using project specifications, construction documents, and engineering information
  
  


• Model piping, equipment, fittings, supports, valves, and other related mechanical components
  
  


• Coordinate mechanical and piping models with structural, architectural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines
  
  


• Review models and drawings for accuracy, constructability, completeness, and potential conflicts
  
  


• Perform clash detection and make necessary adjustments to address coordination and modeling issues
  
  


• Read and interpret construction documents, engineering drawings, and project specifications
  
  


• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, detailers, and field personnel throughout the project
  
  


• Update models and drawings to reflect design revisions, project changes, and field conditions
  
  


• Follow established project standards, modeling practices, and file organization procedures
  
  


• Complete assigned work within project schedules while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
  
  

Requirements

• Education – Relevant education or technical training in BIM/VDC, mechanical design, drafting, construction, or a related discipline is preferred
  
  
  


• BIM Technician – At least 5 years of professional experience in BIM/VDC, mechanical detailing, piping, or a related field; able to read and interpret mechanical, piping, and construction drawings; understands BIM coordination and clash detection; able to produce accurate models and drawings
  
  
  


• Autodesk Revit – Must have strong proficiency
  
  


• Stratus – Experience required, including strong knowledge of its fabrication/detailing workflows
  
  


• Piping – Professional experience and solid understanding of piping systems, fittings, valves, equipment, and supports
  
  


• Soft Skills – Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams; strong attention to detail, can work well with technical and non-technical teams and project stakeholders
