Biomed Engineering Coordinator

Coordinates daily operations, including Technician Supervisor, Asset Initializations, and serves as liaison between Biomedical Engineering and Customers.  Assumes responsibilities of Biomedical Engineering in the absence of the Director. 

• Ensures personnel maintain, operate, test, inspect and perform preventative maintenance checks and repair medical electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment. 
• Evaluates service processes to continually ensure equipment is maintained in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
• Communicates equipment purchases, preventative maintenance and repairs. 
• Performs equipment repairs and preventative maintenance checks on all equipment.
• Arranges and conducts in-service training for employees and customers.
• Performs related duties as required.

• Required:
  • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. 
  • Experience:
    • 5 years in Biomedical Engineering
    • 2 years supervisory experience. 

• Preferred:
  • Education: Graduate of 2 year accredited college in Biomedical Electronics or Military equivalent.
  • Licensure/Certification: AAMI Certification (CBET, CRES, CLES)
