Blaster- Day Shift

Powder Coating Systems is currently looking to fill our Blaster position on Day Shift. 

This shift would run Monday through Friday from 5:00AM to 1:30 PM. It is a full-time position. 

Starting pay for this position is $18-20 per hour depending on experience. 

Employee benefits after the initial ninety days include: 

-Paid Time Off (PTO) that starts accruing hourly from the first day of work. 

-Six set paid holidays. 

-Dental, Life and other insurances through Colonial Life. (This does not include medical.) 

This is a very physical  position. This position requires wearing full PPE to protect from the debris that comes off the metal parts to be blasted. Operators will be required to wear long sleeves regardless of the weather as well as hearing protection. Steel/composite toe footwear will also be required. Operators will also need to go through an OSHA-required survey to ensure being physically able to wear the hood/respirator for inside the booth. 

This job requires long hours inside the booth as well as constant standing, stooping, bending and lifting parts up to fifty pounds consistently.  

Mandatory Requirements: 

-Employee must have reliable transportation to commute to work. (Although Pierce Transit does run that early, it is not reliable enough to ensure employees can arrive on time.) 

-Employee must have a legal driver's license. (This is required to operate our forklifts.) 

-Employee must have the required documents to complete an I-9. (Per government regulation, these documents must be the original. The documents must be able to establish identity and establish the right to work in the United States.) 

-Employee must be able to lift fifty pounds consistently. (For safety sake, we do have enough staffing to use a two-man lift to lift parts as well as an indoor crane and forklifts as well.) 

Helpful Requirements: 

-Experience working in a metal shop or blast operation. 

-Experience using hand and air tools. 

-A mechanical aptitude. 

-Experience trouble shooting on an operator level.
