Job Title: Board-Certified Anesthesiologist
Place of Performance: Minneapolis VA Health Care System, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417.
Job Type: Full Time
Qualifications:

License: Doctors must have a current, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
Certification: Anesthesiologists must be Board Certified by the ABA and have current BLS and ACLS certifications. Proof of certification is required annually.
Experience: Anesthesiologists need at least two years of recent hospital operating room experience, including cardiothoracic anesthesia.

Tasks:

Deliver anesthesiology services in operating rooms and procedure rooms, including cardiac surgery, orthopedic joint replacement, and major surgeries.
Provide anesthesia for patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology, gastrointestinal, and radiological suites.
Offer primary coverage for patients in surgical intensive care, short stay units, and manage acute and chronic pain.
Handle emergency airway management and provide transesophageal echocardiography.
Offer consultative services at the patient’s bedside or in the outpatient clinic.
