ABOUT THIS POSITION:
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides leadership, consultation, assessment, and behavioral intervention services to support students with behavioral, social-emotional, communication, and adaptive skill needs. The BCBA collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based behavioral practices that improve student outcomes and increase access to inclusive educational environments.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Special Education
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and other behavioral evaluations.
Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Analyze behavioral and educational data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
Recommend evidence-based interventions to address challenging behaviors and build replacement skills.
Conduct observations and assessments across educational settings.
Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral goals and objectives within Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, related service providers, and support staff.
Collaborate with families to promote consistency between home and school settings.
Participate in child study teams, problem-solving teams, and MTSS processes.
Train and coach teachers, teaching assistants, aides, and related service providers in evidence-based behavioral practices.
Model instructional and behavioral support strategies.
Facilitate professional learning related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), positive behavior supports, de-escalation techniques, and data collection procedures.
Monitor implementation fidelity and provide feedback to staff.
Design and maintain systems for data collection and reporting.
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data.
Develop reports and summaries for educational teams, parents, and administrators.
Utilize data to evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral interventions and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing Behavior Intervention Plans.
Knowledge of special education regulations and the IEP process.
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Experience working in a public school setting.
Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorders, emotional disabilities, and complex behavioral needs.
Experience providing professional development and coaching.
Training in crisis prevention and intervention.
