Job Description - Boiler/Utilities Technician-Newark, NJ.

Boiler/Utilities Technician\n\nLocation: Newark, NJ, US\n\nWe are currently in need of a Utilities Tech in our Newark, NJ. facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all facility utility systems, including boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, fire protection, and process support systems. Proactively monitor daily operations, logs, and system performance to quickly identify and resolve issues, while partnering closely with maintenance, engineering, production, and QHSE teams. Support preventive and corrective maintenance efforts, maintain accurate CMMS equipment histories, and assist with minor equipment repairs as needed. Consistently uphold dsm-firmenich, site-specific, and regulatory safety standards, contributing to smooth plant operations and a strong culture of reliability and continuous improvement.\n\nYour key responsibilities\n\n * Maintain high on-time reliability of all of the facility\u2019s utilities including: steam boilers, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, process water systems, hot oil systems, plant fire protection systems, and hot glycol systems through close communication with the facility\u2019s maintenance and engineering departments.\n * Monitor boiler operations and maintain required logs. Identify and correct any boiler operating problems\n * Monitor daily utility equipment operations and ensure correction of any mechanical issues. Monitor plant fire systems and implement any required PM\n * Support maintenance in repairs of minor process equipment when needed. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on experience.\n * Ability to work independently in a team environment. Ability to work 12 hours, 7-day shift rotation\n\n\n\nThe salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant\u2019s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary:$57,000-$75,000. \n \nIn addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
