Job Summary:

Responsible for pre-operation inspections, start up of equipment, end of day duties, checklists and shut down of equipment. Responsible for monitoring the production process including but not limited to egg flow, washer temperatures, pressures, conductivity tests, silo levels and egg temperatures. Perform cleaning of machines. Train and oversee the Breaker Machine Operators/Candler’s in various procedures. Complete all checklists. Perform manual candling. Responsible for arranging replacement workers as needed. Perform all duties and responsibilities of Machine Operator/Candler and Floor Person when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for pre-operation inspections, set up and start up of equipment end of day duties, checklists and shut down of equipment.

· Monitor the production process (egg flow, washer temperatures, pressures, concentration tests, chlorine tests, silo levels and egg temperatures)

· Perform cleaning of machines and all areas of processing.

· Responsible for arranging replacement workers as needed

· Complete all checklists

· Manual candling of eggs

· Responsible for personnel rotation throughout day

· Train and oversee Breaker Machine Operators/Candler’s in various procedures

· Interact with USDA inspector

· Follow all OSHA safety regulations and procedures

· Perform all duties and responsibilities of Machine Operator/Candler and Floor Person when necessary

· Perform all floor person’s duties and responsibilities.

· Perform other tasks as assigned

Backup:

· A trained designee will be appointed by management to cover for absences or vacancies; refer to Rembrandt Foods site-specific facility back-up matrix on file.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

· Awareness and knowledge of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere and equipment

· Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand

· Knowledge of tanker loading process

· Knowledge of CIP’s of lines, silos, and tankers

· Knowledge of necessary set-up for separation.

· Knowledge of egg flow computer system.

· Public relation skills and phone etiquette

· Attention to detail

· Leadership skills

· Hand/Eye/Foot Coordination

· Independent Self Starter/Team player

· Advanced English: fluent in: speaking, reading and writing

· Mathematical Skills: General Arithmetic/Basic algebra/Percentages/Fractions

· Computer Skills: Touch Screens, Data Entry

· Fine Motor Skills

· Bilingual Skills: Spanish

Equipment:

· Rubber Boots/Frocks/ Hearing Protection/ Safety Glasses/ Hair nets/beard nets

· Hand tools/High pressure wand

· Large push broom, kitchen broom, squeegee
