About the Role
As a Brand Designer at Abaka AI, you will help shape and elevate the company’s visual identity across marketing, recruiting, partnerships, events, and company communications. You will work on a wide range of creative projects including conference materials, presentations, social media graphics, branded merchandise, recruiting campaigns, marketing collateral, and digital content.
This role sits at the intersection of design, marketing, and brand building. You will collaborate closely with GTM, Partnerships, Recruiting, Operations, Research, and Leadership teams to create compelling visual experiences that strengthen Abaka AI’s presence across the global AI ecosystem.
The ideal candidate combines strong design fundamentals with excellent attention to detail and a bias toward execution. You should be comfortable managing projects from concept to delivery, balancing multiple priorities, and working across both digital and physical mediums. This role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on how one of the fastest-growing AI data companies is presented to customers, candidates, researchers, and partners around the world.
Responsibilities
Help evolve and maintain Abaka AI’s visual identity across digital, print, and physical experiences
Design conference and event materials including booth graphics, signage, banners, handouts, presentations, and promotional assets
Create branded swag and merchandise including stickers, apparel, notebooks, giveaways, packaging, and other marketing materials
Develop high-quality presentations, pitch decks, recruiting materials, customer-facing assets, and sales collateral
Design marketing assets for social media, email campaigns, websites, community initiatives, and partnership programs
Collaborate with GTM, Partnerships, Recruiting, Operations, and Leadership teams to translate ideas into compelling visual experiences
Support employer branding initiatives, recruiting campaigns, and candidate-facing communications
Maintain and organize brand assets, templates, and design systems to ensure consistency across the organization
Coordinate with external vendors, printers, and merchandise suppliers to ensure high-quality production and delivery
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Contribute creative concepts and visual storytelling ideas that strengthen Abaka AI’s brand presence
Stay informed on design trends, emerging creative technologies, and AI-assisted design workflows
Qualifications
1 to 4 years of experience in Brand Design, Graphic Design, Marketing Design, Visual Design, or related fields
Strong portfolio demonstrating branding, marketing collateral, presentation design, event design, and visual storytelling
Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools
Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, branding, and visual communication principles
Experience designing both digital and print assets
Ability to independently manage projects and drive work from concept to completion
Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management skills
Comfortable operating in fast-paced startup environments with evolving priorities
Interest in AI, technology, startups, marketing, or community building
Experience designing presentations, conference materials, event assets, social media content, or branded merchandise is preferred
Experience designing for conferences, trade shows, employer branding initiatives, recruiting campaigns, or B2B technology companies is preferred
Experience working with print vendors, merchandise production, or event fabrication partners is a plus
Experience with motion graphics, video editing, illustration, photography, web design, or AI-assisted creative workflows is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 USD annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work at Abaka AI.
This role is eligible for equity, as well as a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, PTO, flexible work schedule).
