Job Description - Breast Radiologist Physician

Job Summary and Responsibilities






As our Breast Imaging Radiologist, you will join our dynamic healthcare team, specializing in providing high-value, top-quality diagnostic and interventional breast care, making a significant impact on the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, interpreting studies, performing procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic care journey of our patients. We empower our providers by offering comprehensive resources to ensure they can focus on what matters most – caring for patients and serving their communities.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Radiologist with fellowship training in breast imaging. You will possess expertise in identifying and diagnosing breast pathologies, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment, upholding the highest standards of medical ethics.

  • Provide services at or above the customary practice standards in the community, within your qualifications and experience.
  • Adhere to the standards and principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association, and all recognized associations or accrediting boards concerned with Breast Imaging Radiology.
  • Participate in weekly breast conferences with Oncology/Surgeons to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Utilize home workstations, with the option to read remotely after hours or on weekends, to increase production and maintain work-life balance.
  • Collaborate with our Physician Group's resources, including supply chain expertise, technology implementation trainers, contracting experts, centralized credentialing, financial reporting/modeling, and communication, to optimize operational efficiency.








Job Requirements






  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology & fellowship trained in Breast Imaging.
  • Successful completion of a residency or fellowship commensurate with the area of specialty.
  • Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency ("DEA") registration.
  • Board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty (Diagnostic Radiology with Breast Imaging fellowship), by a board acceptable to the Hospital.
  • Ability to obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution.
  • Strong clinical skills with experience in breast imaging and intervention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.

 

Preferred

  • Experience with a variety of breast imaging modalities and interventional procedures.

 

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
