Bridge Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provides
  high -level project design
  
• Review
  project documents and design quality for complex projects
  
• Use technical
  expertise to apply advanced engineering concepts and develop approaches to
  solve complex issues
  
• Ensure
  delivery of completed designs that meet quality standards and project
  objectives.
  
• Conducts
  research in areas of considerable scope and complexity
  
• Advises/lead
  staff on design approaches to fulfill project requirements
  
• Works
  collaboratively to promote efficiencies and produce high quality work
  
• Assist
  with developing standards and/or guidelines for engineering activities within
  the team
  
• Mentor/train
  junior staff
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s
  degree in civil engineering
  
• Master’s
  degree preferred
  
• 6+ years
  of experience
  
• PE License 
  
• Experience
  with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design and bridge analysis and design programs
  (LARSA, LEAP Bridge Expertise, Lpile, SPColumn, or MDX)
  
• Extensive
  knowledge working on MoDOT bridge projects
  
• Working
  knowledge of MicroStation software
  

Salary is
commensurate with experience.
