Green Hills Communications is seeking a customer-focused, hands-on Fiber & Broadband Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain broadband and voice services for residential and business customers.

What You'll Do

As a Fiber & Broadband Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing new services, diagnosing service issues, and ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience from Green Hills Communications.

Responsibilities Include:

✅ Install broadband, voice, and customer-premise equipment

✅ Troubleshoot and repair broadband service issues

✅ Analyze and optimize customer Wi-Fi networks

✅ Test, program, and configure networking equipment

✅ Wire and connect customer equipment and structured cabling

✅ Locate aerial and buried telecommunications facilities

✅ Educate customers on equipment and services

✅ Complete installation and repair documentation accurately

✅ Work safely while adhering to company policies and industry standards

✅ Deliver outstanding customer service during every interaction

What We're Looking For

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with fiber optic, broadband, telecommunications, cable, or networking technologies preferred


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


• Knowledge of Wi-Fi networking and customer-premise equipment


• Ability to read specifications, diagrams, and technical documentation


• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team


• Strong communication and customer service skills


• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Education & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required


• Technical training in telecommunications, electronics, networking, or related field preferred


• Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education


• Valid Missouri Class E Driver's License require

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Frequent standing and walking


• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions


• Occasional climbing, kneeling, and stooping


• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds


• Driving between customer locations throughout the service area

Schedule

• Full-Time


• Monday through Friday


• Weekend On-call rotation and occasional overtime may be required
