Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections. Maintain building appearance. Operate company vehicles and other equipment/tools as required. \n\nGeneral Duties: \nDuties include, but are not limited to, the following: \n\u2022 Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain (area of specialization) equipment and systems. \n\u2022 Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections of all identified equipment. \n\u2022 Install, remove, rearrange, and adjust specified equipment and systems. \n\u2022 Maintain building appearance. \n\u2022 Perform other duties as assigned. \n\u2022 Work is performed indoors and outdoors in the heat and cold, often during adverse weather conditions. \n\u2022 The job involves performing work in various settings and positions, i.e., close quarters in a stooped or bent position, on a ladder, on a roof, in an underground vault, etc. \n\u2022 May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the company.\n\nRequired Skills/Experience: \n\u2022 Tests - Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the company, by Company policy. \n\u2022 Experience - Must have five years of experience in at least one of the following major building trades: generators/transfer switches, building-related controls and automated systems, fire systems, electrical, roofs, and plumbing. \n\u2022 Desired education of two years from a recognized trade school in one of the following: generators, roofs, building automated systems, fire systems, electrical or plumbing or two years technical training from the military in one of the above disciplines or three years in a recognized apprenticeship program. \n\u2022 May be required to lift to 100 pounds. \n\u2022 Must possess, at the time of appointment, a valid California class \"A\" or \"C\" driver\u0027s license and, if required at the assigned job site, must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a vehicle equipped with standard (manual-shift) transmission. \n\u2022 Must possess the ability to perceive differences in colors. \n\u2022 Must possess the ability to distinguish audible tones/levels.\n\nSpecial Requirements: \n\u2022 Five years of experience in generators/transfer switches is preferred. \n\u2022 Hours/Shifts will vary according to seniority. Applicant must be willing to work nights, weekends, emergency call-outs, and overtime as needed.
