Bus Driver- SACC Trenton

 Description: One hour per week, Friday mornings. Trenton, NJ.

The Capital Area YMCA is seeking a responsible and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport program participants to and from designated program and school sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and a positive, supportive attitude aligned with the YMCA’s mission.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus and/or YMCA branch van
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and maintaining transportation logs
• Ensure the safe boarding and disembarking of passengers
• Follow all traffic laws, DMV regulations, YMCA policies, and child safety protocols at all times and ensure risk reduction

 Requirements 

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• CDL with passenger endorsement
• Previous driving experience with children or group transportation
• Must be available to work these hours during the School Year;  one hour estimated on Fridays bt 11am to 1pm 
• Consistent and reliable attendance
• Must obtain background check and fingerprinting and do training
