Business Reporting & Tools team is chartered to provide centralized business reporting and tools solutions in direct support of the group finance FP&A teams. Business reporting team is a world-class organization that aims to drive value in business finance by providing a portfolio of common business reporting solutions and tools. The Business Liaison/Project Management Consultant role is key to understanding and delivering on the business financial reporting needs of our business partners. The Business Liaison/Project Management Consultant will partner closely with group FP&A and IT in managing the evolution of the standardized reporting portfolio as well as establishing the requirements, development and deployment of business finance tools aimed at improving efficiency for the function. The Business Liaison/Project Management consultant is responsible for understanding business financial reporting needs (including tools), working with Business Reporting team management to build the strategy for delivering on these needs and leading the execution of the strategy. . Core responsibilities include contributing to the evolution of the standard reporting portfolio and the financial tools strategy and leading efforts to develop converged financial tools, reports and delivery mechanisms. This position requires an experienced finance professional with a strong knowledge of finance/ERP applications and demonstrated project management skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated capability in: thinking strategically and tactically; leading cross functional, global teams; delivering results; taking appropriate risks; and in working in a collaborative decision making model with customers across the company. Primary position responsibilities include the following: - Partnering with FP&A teams and other non-finance business partners in establishing priorities and delivering on strategies to improve finance efficiency through the delivery of financial reports and tools. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to demonstrating: a deep understanding of finance systems infrastructure; strong knowledge of business finance reporting needs and processes; awareness of external benchmarks of financial BI capability; ability to provide insightful, effective consulting and advice to business partners. Executing Business Reporting Priorities including leadership of major reporting and tools initiatives supporting Finance priorities and supporting/orchestrating a number of smaller projects. -Partnering effectively with Business FP&A and IT in developing and deploying technology solutions that increase business finance efficiency. -Insuring delivery of high quality reporting and technology solutions on time and per agreed scope - Supporting the building of organizational capability and effectiveness within the Business reporting organization through leading efforts with Business reporting teammates, leading knowledge-building sessions, etc. • Proficiency using standard desktop computer applications Geo Location: Santa Rosa, CA  equal opportunity employer. Position requires Bachelors, Master Degree, or equivalent. Seven+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting, plus demonstrated experience leading projects integrating the resources and requirements of several complex departments or functions. Comprehensive experience with financial system infrastructure is preferred.
