The following outlines the key responsibilities of the role and may be adjusted from time to time based on the Company’s evolving business needs.
Location: U.S. East Coast preferred, or Israel for candidates with the required ability to work/travel extensively in the U.S.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Carbon Business Development & Grants Manager to identify, develop, and advance carbon project opportunities across the U.S.
Reporting to the Chief Innovation & Carbon Climate, this role combines carbon business development, scientific and environmental analysis, grant and RFP writing, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and qualify lakes and water bodies across the U.S. with potential for carbon projects.
Conduct proactive outreach to relevant lake owners, authorities, municipalities, organizations, and other stakeholders.
Develop opportunities from initial research and outreach through proposals and advanced commercial discussions, including in-person meetings and site visits across the U.S.
Identify relevant grants, RFPs, tenders, and corporate funding opportunities, including opportunities with major technology and data center companies.
Lead the preparation and writing of grant applications, RFP responses, and technical-commercial proposals.
Analyze lakes and environmental data to assess project potential and support carbon project development.
Prepare proposals for paid projects, including relevant scientific analysis, project scope, and supporting documentation.
Support ongoing opportunities and projects, including preparation of required materials and analyses using BGI and Discovery.
Work closely with scientific, innovation, carbon, and commercial teams to translate scientific data into compelling commercial opportunities and proposals.
Maintain consistent follow-up with customers and partners throughout the project development process
Must-Have Qualifications
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a closely related scientific field.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in carbon business development and/or carbon project development.
Proven experience identifying and writing grants, RFPs, and technical/commercial proposals.
Hands-on experience in the US water sector Ability to analyze and understand environmental and scientific data.
Strong business development skills, including prospecting, outreach, stakeholder engagement, and opportunity development.
Native English speaker.
Excellent written English and strong proposal-writing capabilities.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently across the U.S.
The role requires flexibility and willingness to travel to the United States, as needed for business purposes, generally up to two trips per quarter, depending on business and project needs.
