We are an operator-oriented investment platform focused on acquiring and scaling lower-middle-market businesses through control investments. We are long-term oriented and partner closely with management teams to drive operational improvement and durable value creation. The firm is currently investing its first institutional fund, with approximately $300 million of committed capital, focused on control-oriented private equity investments across targeted sectors.

Role Description

The Business Development Lead will be responsible for building and managing the firm’s proprietary sourcing engine. This role will play a critical part in shaping the firm’s long-term sourcing strategy and external relationships as investment activity scales. The role will require close coordination with the investment team and ownership of key intermediary and advisor relationships to ensure sourcing efforts remain aligned with the firm’s underwriting standards and sector focus.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Developing and managing relationships with business owners, brokers, advisors, and referral sources to generate consistent deal flow

  • Driving a structured outreach program across target sectors and geographies, including maintaining cadence and follow-up discipline

  • Owning and maintaining CRM data hygiene, pipeline tracking, and sourcing analytics (activity, conversion, funnel metrics)

  • Partnering with the investment team to qualify opportunities, prioritize leads, and advance high-quality prospects

  • Coordinating introductory calls and meetings; preparing leadership with relevant background and context

  • Representing the firm in meetings, conferences, and industry events; supporting the firm’s external positioning

  • Supporting development of outreach materials and messaging (firm overview, buyer profile, sector theses)

  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely responsiveness to intermediaries and business owners

  • Assisting with special projects and internal ad hoc requests related to sourcing strategy and pipeline development

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, investment sourcing, private equity, investment banking, brokerage, or related fields

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive outcomes through persistent, thoughtful outreach

  • Strong organizational skills with comfort operating high-volume pipelines and tracking activity rigorously

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional presence with external stakeholders

  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and manage ambiguity

  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; CRM familiarity preferred

The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. Assignments, duties, and responsibilities may be changed at any time, with or without notice, in the Firm’s sole discretion.

Expected annual base salary range:

$130,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at the Firm’s sole discretion.

The Firm is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, marital or partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, genetic predisposition, veteran or military status, status as a victim of domestic violence, a sex offense or stalking, or any other class or status in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
