Compensation: $60,000 Base + Uncapped Commission

Rome Logistics Group is looking for driven, competitive, and motivated individuals to join our growing Sales team in Charlotte.

This isn't an account-management role where you'll inherit an established list of customers. You'll build your own book of business from the ground up — prospecting new customers, opening doors through outbound sales, developing relationships, solving transportation challenges, and working alongside our Operations team to deliver exceptional service.

With a $60,000 base salary and uncapped commission,  you'll have the opportunity to significantly grow your total compensation as your book develops.

Previous logistics experience isn't required. If you know how to sell, develop relationships, and create new business, we'll teach you the transportation industry.

What You'll Do

• Prospect and develop new business through high-volume outbound calling, email, networking, and other sales strategies


• Identify and connect with decision-makers across a variety of industries


• Build and independently manage your own book of business


• Learn your customers' businesses and identify transportation solutions that meet their needs


• Work closely with our Operations team to quote, coordinate, and execute shipments


• Build long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and reliable service


• Negotiate pricing and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts


• Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently work toward individual sales and revenue goals


• Identify opportunities to expand your book and increase revenue


• Develop a strong understanding of the transportation and logistics industry

What We're Looking For

Previous logistics experience isn't required. We're more interested in your ability to sell, build relationships, and create new business.

You may be a great fit if you:

• Have previous experience in B2B sales, business development, outbound sales, or another results-driven sales environment


• Are confident prospecting and starting conversations with potential customers


• Are comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and working toward individual sales targets


• Are competitive, resilient, and motivated by results


• Have strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills


• Can independently manage a pipeline and multiple opportunities


• Think critically and look for solutions rather than waiting to be given the answer


• Are organized, self-motivated, and accountable for your results


• Want to build a book of business and grow your earning potential alongside it

Previous logistics experience is an asset, but it is not required. Sales experience from industries such as recruitment, automotive, financial services, telecommunications, SaaS, or other B2B environments is highly transferable.

Compensation & Earning Potential

We offer a $60,000 USD base salary plus uncapped commission.

Our commission structure is designed to reward growth. As you develop your book of business and reach higher performance milestones, your earning potential increases — with no ceiling on commission.

Successful Business Development Representatives have the opportunity to reach six-figure total compensation and continue increasing their earnings as their business grows.
