Position Overview
The Junior Business Development Representative – Service & Maintenance is a front-facing, field-based role focused on generating service, repair, and maintenance opportunities for existing and new clients. This position works closely with our service team to identify needs, build trust, and convert inspections into long-term customers.
This is not a desk job. The right candidate is comfortable being on rooftops, climbing ladders, meeting clients in person, and representing Crabapple Roofing professionally in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow service and maintenance relationships with:
Property managers
Facility managers
Building owners
Proactively identify service and repair opportunities through:
Site visits
Visual roof observations
Client conversations
Perform basic roof walk-throughs and inspections (training provided)
Work closely with service managers to:
Communicate findings
Assist with scope development
Support proposals and follow-up
Build and manage a service-focused sales pipeline in the company CRM
Follow up consistently and professionally to convert inspections into approved work
Represent Crabapple Roofing’s values of quality, service, and accountability at all times
Physical & Field Requirements
Comfortable working at heights and accessing rooftops
Comfortable climbing ladders and navigating commercial roof systems
Able to safely perform rooftop walk-throughs and site visits in varying conditions
Willing to spend the majority of time in the field, not behind a desk
Qualifications
Self-motivated, dependable, and relationship-oriented
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable meeting clients face-to-face and building trust
Prior outside sales experience preferred (construction, roofing, or facilities experience is a plus, but not required)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to represent the company professionally at all times
