TEPCO Solutions is seeking a Business Intelligence & Operations Excellence Specialist to support a client’s Operations Excellence organization in The Woodlands, TX.
This position will leverage expertise in data analytics, data integration, business intelligence, and visualization to transform complex datasets into meaningful business insights. The successful candidate will work closely with operational and functional stakeholders to understand business processes, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop reporting and analytics solutions that improve visibility, decision-making, and operational performance.
The role will work extensively with Power BI and data from enterprise systems including SAP, SQL, and learning management systems (LMS) to develop dashboards, reporting solutions, and data-driven recommendations. The specialist will also leverage artificial intelligence and workflow automation technologies, including Microsoft Power Automate, to improve the speed, quality, consistency, and scalability of analytics solutions.
Additionally, this individual will serve as an important liaison between Operations Excellence stakeholders and IT teams, helping translate business requirements into effective data, reporting, automation, and technology solutions.
Partner with functional teams and business stakeholders to understand operational processes, define KPIs, identify reporting requirements, and align analytics solutions with business objectives.
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance intuitive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
Extract, integrate, cleanse, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple enterprise systems and data sources.
Monitor, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies to ensure reporting accuracy and reliability.
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and operational performance indicators.
Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to improve data integrations, ETL processes, data availability, and reporting capabilities.
Translate complex technical findings and analytical results into clear, actionable business recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Utilize AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve operational analytics, reporting efficiency, productivity, and solution delivery.
Design, implement, and support workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and related technologies.
Serve as a liaison between Operations Excellence stakeholders and IT teams regarding business requirements, technical solutions, implementation activities, and governance processes.
Support multiple concurrent projects, enhancements, business requests, and operational initiatives while meeting deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
Promote data governance, reporting standards, and analytics best practices across supported business functions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, digital solutions, reporting, or a related field.
Proven experience developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
Strong experience with data integration, data preparation, ETL processes, data transformation, and data quality management.
Experience working with large and complex datasets and identifying meaningful trends, patterns, and business insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholder demands simultaneously.

Oil & gas industry experience, particularly supporting field operations or operational organizations.
Experience working with SAP data structures, workflows, and reporting environments.
Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and solutions to improve business outcomes, analytics, or productivity.
Python and/or R programming experience.
Experience supporting digital transformation and/or operational excellence initiatives.
Certifications in Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Spotfire, or other related analytics platforms.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on technical capability with an understanding of how data supports business and operational decision-making. This individual should be comfortable working directly with stakeholders to understand operational challenges, translating those needs into reporting and analytics solutions, and then independently developing high-quality deliverables.
Success in this role will require strong Power BI and data analytics capabilities, experience working across multiple enterprise data sources, attention to data quality, and the ability to communicate effectively between business and technical teams. Experience within oil & gas operations and familiarity with SAP environments would be highly valuable.
