We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Senior Business Process & Data Analyst to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) asset management initiatives.

This role will help improve business processes, data quality, reporting, and operational decision-making. The analyst will work directly with federal stakeholders to understand current processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, develop practical recommendations, and support technology-enabled improvements.

The ideal candidate can translate business needs into clear requirements and identify opportunities to improve workflows through reporting, automation, data integration, and Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This position requires strong analytical, project coordination, client-facing, and executive communication skills.

Position Overview

We are seeking a candidate to support asset management initiatives for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

This position will work with federal stakeholders to understand operational needs, document business processes, analyze data, and communicate requirements to both business and technical team members. The analyst will also help prepare briefings, reports, process documentation, and recommendations that support better business operations and decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can organize complex information, ask effective questions, identify practical improvements, and develop polished client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and priorities.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear business requirements and recommended actions.
  • Document current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting, and data quality.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, inconsistencies, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, meeting materials, and executive briefings.
  • Support project planning, activity tracking, meeting coordination, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • Help business and technical teams communicate effectively with one another.
  • Support dashboard, reporting, workflow automation, and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Assist with data quality, data governance, and process improvement activities.
  • Manage multiple assignments and contribute to team priorities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • DoD Top Secret or CBP/ICE Public Trust. Note we are unable to accept a public trust from any agency except ICE or CBP.
  • Experience in business analysis, project support, operations analysis, management consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to develop clear, polished presentations and business documents.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and communicating business requirements.
  • Ability to analyze information and present practical findings or recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working directly with clients or organizational stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal government clients.
  • Familiarity with technical systems.
  • Experience with business process mapping or process improvements
  • Experience supporting reporting, dashboards, data quality, or workflow automation initiatives.
